老梅園は、ただ庭を愛でる場所ではありません。
四季それぞれの表情を通じて、日本の伝統と美意識を
五感で体感するための空間です。

春の白梅が香り、夏の緑が深く、秋が山を燃やし、
冬の静寂が万物を清める——。
そのひとつひとつに、この土地が培ってきた文化の礎が
静かに息づいています。

伝統は守るだけのものではなく、次の時代へと手渡すもの。
老梅園はその橋渡しとなる場所であり続けます。

Roubaien is not merely a garden to admire. It is a space to experience Japanese tradition and aesthetic consciousness through all four seasons — the fragrance of spring plum, the depth of summer green, the fire of autumn, the purifying silence of winter. Tradition is not only preserved here; it is passed forward.

老梅園 茶室

庭と茶室の記憶

老梅園は、享保 7 年（1722 年）に開かれた、
三百年以上の歴史を持つ庭園と茶室です。

南部藩ゆかりの地として代々受け継がれてきた茶室「残月席」は、
千利休が豊臣秀吉のために聚楽第へ設けた茶室を範としたものと伝えられています。江戸時代の数寄屋建築の趣を今に伝え、静かな時間と日本の美意識を育んできました。

庭園には、長い歳月を重ねた老梅木をはじめ、
四季折々に表情を変える樹木や苔、庭石が調和し、
起伏に富んだ地形が奥行きある景観を生み出しています。

三百年の時を重ねながら、
建築と庭、そして茶の文化がひとつの風景として息づく場所。
老梅園は、その時を静かに刻み続けています。

Dating back to 1722, Roubaien is a garden and teahouse with over three centuries of history. Its teahouse, Zangetsu-seki, is said to be modeled after a room Sen no Rikyū created for Toyotomi Hideyoshi at Jurakudai. With old plum trees, moss, stones, and seasonal greenery, the garden forms a quiet landscape where architecture, nature, and tea culture continue to live as one.

春の老梅園
春 Spring

白梅が空に向かって咲き誇り、冷たい空気に香りが漂う。年の初めに訪れる、老梅園がもっとも輝く季節。

White plum blossoms reach skyward, their quiet fragrance carried on the still winter air — the garden at its most radiant.

夏の老梅園
夏 Summer

深い緑が敷地を覆い、木漏れ日が縁側に差し込む。静かな水音と鳥の声だけが聞こえる、濃密な夏の庭。

Dense greens canopy the garden. Dappled light falls across the engawa while birdsong and water fill the silence.

秋の老梅園
秋 Autumn

紅葉が庭を朱色と黄金に染める。灯籠の石と、燃えるような葉の対比——日本の秋の美を凝縮した風景。

Maples set the garden ablaze with crimson and gold. Stone lanterns stand in quiet contrast to the burning leaves above.

冬の老梅園
冬 Winter

雪が庭を白く包み、雪吊りの縄が幾何学模様を描く。凛とした静寂の中に、次の春への静かな予感が宿る。

Snow wraps the garden in silence. The rope supports of yukinuri trace delicate geometries — patience made visible, spring held in wait.
